Shipping & Returns Policy
Thank you for supporting my studio. Every ceramic piece is individually hand-formed, glazed, and carefully packed in Japan before making its journey to you. Because ceramics are delicate, please review my shipping, customs, and return policies below prior to placing your order.
1. Domestic Shipping (Within Japan)
Primary Carrier: Japan Post Yu-Pack (ゆうパック).
Processing Time: Orders are packed and dispatched within 2–4 business days.
Delivery Time: Standard delivery takes 1–3 business days depending on your location.
Tracking & Handling: All packages include step-by-step tracking and are marked as Fragile (壊れ物).
Flat-Rate Delivery: We offer a standard flat rate for all domestic shipments across Japan. It covers carrier delivery along with all protective boxes, packaging materials, and cushioning needed to keep your ceramics safe.
Free Local Pickup: If you live in or are visiting Tokyo, you can select Local Pickup at checkout to waive shipping fees. Once your order is packed, I will reach out to arrange a convenient time for a hand-off at a local train station in Edogawa Ward.
日本国内への配送（国内配送）
主要配送業者： 日本郵便 ゆうパック。
発送までの日数： ご注文確定後、2〜4営業日以内に梱包・発送いたします。
お届けまでの日数： 発送後、通常1〜3営業日でお届けします（お届け先の地域により異なります）。
追跡サービス・お取り扱い： すべてのお荷物に追跡サービスが付き、「壊れ物」指定にて安全に配送されます。
全国一律配送料金： 日本国内への配送は、一律料金（フラットレート）にて承っております。配送料金には、作品を安全にお届けするための梱包箱、保護資材、クッション材などの材料費および送料がすべて含まれています。
東京都内での駅手渡し（送料無料)： 東京都内にお住まいの方、または東京にお越しのご予定がある方は、チェックアウト時に「Local Pickup（直接引き取り）」をお選びいただくことで配送料が無料になります。お受け取りの準備が整い次第、江戸川区内の最寄り駅での手渡しの為、日時のご調整について直接ご連絡させていただきます。
2. International Shipping
All international orders are dispatched directly from my studio in Japan using Japan Post Express Mail Service (EMS). EMS provides express priority handling, full end-to-end tracking, and basic postal insurance coverage.
Shipping fees are calculated automatically at checkout based on the total packed weight of your order (including structural boxes and protective padding).
United States Orders
Primary carrier: Japan Post EMS → USPS
Processing Time: Orders are packed and dispatched within 2–4 business days.
Delivery Time: Standard delivery takes 3–6 business days depending on your location.
All-In-One Duty Paid Delivery (DDP): To make ordering effortless, all base EMS express postage, specialised heavy-duty packaging, and US customs duties and processing fees are calculated and collected directly at checkout. Your order arrives fully duty-paid with no charges upon delivery.
Tracking & Handling: All US orders are dispatched via Japan Post EMS (Express Mail Service) with full end-to-end tracking and are marked Fragile.
Shipping Worldwide (Outside Japan & the US)
I deeply appreciate interest in my studio work from around the globe!
Because international customs regulations, tax procedures, and shipping logistics vary greatly by region, direct online checkout is currently optimised for addresses in Japan and the United States.

I will personally verify shipping availability, calculate custom EMS rates and applicable duties for your destination, and send you a reserved order link to complete your purchase securely.
Please note: For direct inquiries outside Japan and the US, orders are shipped Delivery Duty Unpaid (DDU), meaning any local import taxes or customs duties applied by your country upon arrival remain the responsibility of the recipient.
Refused Shipments: If a shipment is refused or returned due to unpaid import taxes or an incorrect address, original shipping costs are strictly non-refundable.
4. Damaged or Broken Items (Transit Insurance)
Every ceramic piece is rigorously wrapped—using double-boxing, honeycomb paper or bubble wrap, and shock-absorbing fill—to ensure it survives automated postal drops.
However, if an item arrives broken or damaged during transit, your package is insured. Please follow these exact steps within 48 hours of delivery so we can process an official postal claim:
Keep All Packaging: Do not throw away the damaged ceramic, the inner padding, or the outer shipping box. Japan Post and local postal inspectors require physical evidence of the package condition to honor damage claims.
Take Photos & Video: Take clear photos of:
The broken item.
The damaged outer shipping box and shipping label.
The internal packaging materials.
Contact Us: Email me at anna.gadzhikurbanova@gmail.com with your order number and photo/video evidence.
Local Damage Report: In some countries (such as the US or UK), you may need to file a brief Damage Report (CN24 form) at your local post office so they can register the claim with Japan Post.
Once the claim is verified, we will issue a full refund or send a replacement piece free of charge.
5. Returns & Exchange Policy
Due to the fragile nature of handmade ceramics and the cost of international freight:
All International Sales Are Final: We do not accept returns or exchanges for international orders unless the item arrives damaged or there was an error with your shipment.
Handmade Variations: Each piece is handmade. Subtle variations in size, color, glaze texture, and minor speckling are natural characteristics of hand-thrown ceramics and are not considered defects.
手作りの個体差：商品はすべて手作業で作られています。手びねりやロクロ成形による陶磁器の特性上、サイズ、色合い、釉薬（ゆうやく）の質感の微妙な違いや小さな斑点が生じることがありますが、これらは自然な風合いであり不良品ではございません。
Domestic Returns (Japan): Domestic buyers may request a return within 7 days of delivery. The buyer is responsible for return shipping fees and must return the item in its original, undamaged condition using a tracked service with fragile handling.
日本国内の返品について：日本国内のお客様は、商品到着後7日以内であれば返品の申請が可能です。返品時の送料はお客様のご負担となります。また、商品は補償・追跡機能のある配送サービス（ワレモノ指定）をご利用いただき、破損のないお届け時の状態のままご返送ください。
